Who is a Carroll County educator who goes above and beyond?
We have so many educators who give their time, talent and heart to help our students thrive. Now, our community has an opportunity to make sure their efforts are recognized beyond our schools.
The Ohio Valley Educational Cooperative is celebrating its 50th anniversary by celebrating our teachers. Three Carroll County educators will be selected as finalists for the Honoring Excellence Ceremony: 50 Educators. 50 Years. One Mission, with one educator receiving the award for our district.
We invite parents, families, students, colleagues and community members to nominate a Carroll County educator who invests in their students, continues to grow professionally and consistently goes above and beyond.
If someone comes to mind, take a few minutes to tell their story. Your nomination could help shine a light on an educator who deserves to be recognized.
Nominate a Carroll County educator at www.ovec.org/nominate.
The Honoring Excellence Ceremony will be held November 17 in Shelbyville.

Each county follows its home high school calendar, which means there are some days when our building is open and serving students from counties that are still in session.
Friday, September 4, is the first calendar variation.
Our building will be open and available to all students on Friday. Carroll County students are not required to attend on Friday. Your absence will not count against your attendance.
Students are welcome to come in for additional help.
We hope this helps everyone understand the differences in our county calendars. Please email mackenzie.wright@carroll.kyschools.us with questions.

A decision regarding tomorrow's activities will be made tomorrow. Updates will be posted on district and school websites and social media.
We appreciate your cooperation in keeping our athletes and coaches safe during this season.

Carroll County Middle School was named in an unfortunately popular internet trend involving the "Cat in the Hat." CCMS staff and the Carrollton Police Department immediately began investigating. No threats were made, but we are alerting families to the issue. An increased police presence will be visible in our schools.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to resolve this matter.
