Carroll County Schools will use an NTI Day 9 tomorrow, Thursday, Feb. 5, 2026, due to slick and hazardous road conditions โ๏ธ. An early evening road check, especially in areas known to be challenging, showed freezing conditions developing.
For the safety of our students and staff, school will be closed. Staff will not report to buildings but will be in contact with students to share expectations for the day ๐ป๐.

The new 5,500-square-foot welding workshop will be built at the end of the existing school building. Plans include 20 state-of-the-art welding stations, dedicated classroom space, a CNC plasma cutting station, and other hands-on learning areas that reflect the tools and technologies used in the welding field.
Construction is anticipated to begin by July 1 and take approximately one year to complete.

Flu season is here, and we are seeing an increase in students and staff coming to school while sick. We know it can be challenging for families, and we truly appreciate your partnership in helping keep everyone healthy.

Students in the Certified Medical Assistant and Pre-Nursing programs at the Carroll County Area Technology Center recently presented cultural diversity research projects focused on cultures from around the world. ๐
Through this work, students explored cultural backgrounds, health beliefs, dietary practices and restrictions, and discussed how healthcare professionals can provide respectful, culturally responsive care to every patient. ๐คโจ
