Today we start Staff Appreciation Week at Carroll County Schools! All of our staff members are invaluable to making our students successful. We are appreciative of you every day, but this week our staff members will receive some extra special treats. The Board of Education is providing lunch for each school this week and individual schools are hosting their own celebrations. If you see a Carroll County Schools staff member, give them a pat on the back for their hard work! 🖤💛

🍅TODAY IS THE DAY!
See you at Cartmell's playground gate at 10am for this very special ribbon-cutting and dedication!

Cartmell Elementary’s fourth graders recently spent the day celebrating Earth Day at the Robert M. Westrict County Park during the annual Conservation District event, hosted in partnership with Nucor. Students rotated through hands-on learning stations led by community partners including Nucor Gallatin, Carroll County Cooperative Extension, NALCO, Kentucky Fish and Wildlife, Kentucky Division of Forestry, Kentucky Department of Agriculture, and Carroll County FFA.
Students spent their entire day outdoors, engaged in hands-on activities and learning about science. Each student even took home tree seedlings or plants to continue the learning at home.
This long-running event, once held on Nucor’s campus, continues to grow and evolve each year. A big thank you to Pat Underwood, CCCD Conservation Technician, for organizing such a meaningful day for our students.

🗣STUDENT-LED CONFERENCES are coming to Cartmell next week!
Tuesday, April 28
4:00-6:00 pm
This event is designed as "open house style" so families can attend any time between 4:00 and 6:00. There are no scheduled times for individual parent-teacher conferences--this is simply an opportunity for your child to share their Leadership Binder and highlight their school year with you.
Related Arts teachers will be showcasing their specials content with an activity in each of those locations, and the Conservation Club will be presenting information about their ongoing project.
Hope to see you there!
