Flu season is here, and we are seeing an increase in students and staff coming to school while sick. We know it can be challenging for families, and we truly appreciate your partnership in helping keep everyone healthy.
Please take a moment to review the attached flyers for helpful guidance on when it’s best to keep your child (or yourself) home and when it is safe to return to school, as well as important tips on preventing the spread of illness. 🌍💙 Celebrating Cultural Diversity in Healthcare! 💉🩺
Students in the Certified Medical Assistant and Pre-Nursing programs at the Carroll County Area Technology Center recently presented cultural diversity research projects focused on cultures from around the world. 🌎
Through this work, students explored cultural backgrounds, health beliefs, dietary practices and restrictions, and discussed how healthcare professionals can provide respectful, culturally responsive care to every patient. 🤝✨

🌟Panther families, a friendly reminder that Carroll County Schools will be closed on Monday, Jan. 19, 2026 in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Students and staff will return on Tuesday, Jan. 20.🌟

The Carroll County Area Technology Center welding class and Skills USA Club announced the winners of its recent fundraiser.They sold raffle tickets for a welder generator.
Carrollton Mayor Robb Adams won first place and opted to take the $1,000 cash option and donate the remainder to the Skills USA Club.
“Thank you to all who participated and supported these fine students. It means a lot to them and me,” said welding instructor Justin Tingle.
The second place award of $300 went to Niki Lee McIntyre while the third and fourth place winners were Landon Supplee and Chad Scott, each of whom received a new Miller welding hood.
Welding students Treavin Shovelin and Gage Miller each won $100 for selling the most tickets.

The Carroll County ATC will be on NTI tomorrow, Monday, Dec. 15. Teachers will contact students regarding expectations for the day. Stay safe and warm!
🛠️📚 All Project-Based Learning (PBL) students are required to complete safety training on small power tools, including a written test and hands-on demonstration, before jumping into their projects.

Carroll County Area Technology Center carpentry students have been busy building their skills! 🔨📚 They’ve been working with concrete, creating their own projects, and learning how to safely and properly use tools like a nail gun. 💪 🛠️
Carroll County Schools is blessed to have a wonderful, hard-working maintenance department. These men have been working in the cold today so our students and staff will have safe access and parking. Thank you to this team for their amazing work!
